Today was a beautiful late September day, so when Lucy got up this morning she suggested we go to the Saturday farmers market in the big park downtown. I was a little worried that she would be frightened of all the people and cars, but she did really well!
Lucy walked very nicely through the small crowds of people and wasn’t afraid of anything! She had a good time smelling all the smells, being petted by admirers and saying hello to other dogs lucky enough to be out. One lady even gave her a cherry tomato!
Lucy stayed hydrated by drinking periodically from her water bottle with the nipple top. It’s very important not to get overheated on these warm days!
After the big outing, Lucy had a nice nap in her house while her hoomin went to the grocery store and brought her back a nice piece of roast beef as a reward for being such a good dog. And tonight she is going to have fresh Massachusetts sweet corn cooked on the grill!
